Welcome to GINKGO Practice for Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.
The offer of GINKGO Practice for Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine combines traditional Asian medicine with the knowledge and possibilities of Western medicine. Our aim is to provide the most effective, state-of-the-art treatments, individually tailored to each patient.
GINKGO Practice for Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine follows the philosophy of treating acute as well as chronic complaints and diseases in a natural and holistic way. The goal is to grasp and address the root of the problem.
In addition, Chinese medicine offers approaches to prophylactic assistance to prevent the development of diseases, e.g. in the form of treatments that take place before the development of allergic symptoms, to alleviate these or not even let them arise.
Ginkgo – Practice for Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, Petra Kolvenbach
About acupuncture:
Traditionally, acupuncture is the regulation of the flow of life energy, which is called “Qi” in China.
This flow system is an energetic network of channels that connects not only the acupuncture points, but also the internal organs via internal processes.
For acupuncture treatment, very thin needles are inserted into selected points almost painlessly in order to correct the previously determined imbalance.
As a rule, these remain for 20 – 30 minutes. Shorter times are sufficient for children.
About Chinese Medicine:
The Chinese medicine is based on the empirics of a huge knowledge treasure which was collected over the last 3000 years.
In acupuncture, the body’s own healing powers are activated by needling specific points and health is maintained or restored.
With the needling and/or heating (moxibustion) of these points, the organism is specifically stimulated to bring itself back into balance.
