Back pain, lower back pain, herniated disc, sciatica, scoliosis, spinal canal stenosis

Daily office work of several hours each day with sitting activity at the desk and additional work in front of the screen are often the main causes of back pain, sciatica and lumbalgia. The sudden occurrence of acute complaints along all parts of the back – from the cervical spine to the lumbar vertebrae – or coccyx region can be caused, for example, by too long and incorrect posture while sitting or even incorrect position during sleep.

Furthermore, sprains can be caused by carrying heavy objects in the wrong position or even while exercising sports.

The causes are manifold. Therefore, it is very important to examine the lifestyle of each patient and adjust the treatment individually.

Acupuncture can be an effective method of treatment, often with immediate effect In the case of acute back pain, the body’s defence mechanism overreacts, putting healthy muscles and vision in a kind of shock freezing state. Thus the affected sprained muscle structures need their recovery and regeneration time as well as the healthy parts.

From the perspective of Chinese medicine:

By a blockade of the Qi it comes to an overreaction of the muscles which react with tension, stiffness and pain.

Solution and therapy:

By stimulating the Qi of the surrounding muscle fibers, Chinese medicine can relax the overreaction of the muscles and relieve stiffness with the help of acupuncture and/or moxibustion, resulting in immediate pain reduction of up to 50%.

Once the overreaction has been eliminated, the patient can now be helped to treat the original injury relatively quickly with appropriate acupuncture and heat therapy.
